As the Member Engagement and Programs Assistant for the American Public Gardens Association, Jessie supports the association’s diverse programming and member services with a focus on projects and marketing.
She holds a BS degree in public horticulture from Purdue University and a MS degree in plant biology from Michigan State University. Prior to working for the association, Jessie managed communications for Sungro Horticulture and Learn2grow.com as well as roles at the American Horticultural Society and Longwood Gardens. In addition to her work for the association, she writes web and magazine articles on a freelance basis and has been published in periodicals such as The American Gardener, Horticulture, and The Old House Journal.
Jessie enjoys gardening with her daughters, traveling, cooking, and experiencing new gardens and natural areas wherever she goes.
